The Beginning ...
Wednesday morning around 8am or so... minding my own business in my "cave". Scrolling through emails on my phone, watching tv and sipping coffee. I happened to brush my hand across my neck and felt huge lumps. So of course in typical Stephanie fashion the thought of "WHAT THE..." is that!? I look in the mirror and see above my left collar bone on my lower neck something enlarged or really inflamed. Of course, no pain or discomfort....the only thing crossing my mind was "did I pull something in my neck doing some crazy work out in my garage or is my thyroid all messed up?" I text and called a few friends and family and immediately went up to see my doctors. The Dr. examined the area that looked inflamed or irritated and quickly wrote a script for an antibiotic in hopes that it would go down if it was just a small infection going through my body but also a script for an ultrasound to be safe.
